Reddish egret (Egretta rufescens). April 2018. Celestun, Yucatan, México. A small group of reddish egrets were feeding in an salt pane. Being very territorial, battles between individuals were one way or the other unavoidable. The picture shows a scene in one of the combats of that morning.
